Domaine Jolivent’s commitment to environmental protection is guided by its environmental program.
This program, which focuses on responsible environmental management throughout the company, aims to reduce the ecological footprint of its activities by conserving resources and adopting best practices.
Our environmental program is based on the following principles:
- Working diligently to reduce our waste streams and conserve natural resources.
- Comply with current environmental regulations and strive to follow best environmental practices.
- Make environmental considerations an integral part of decision-making.
- Periodically re-evaluate our program objectives.
- Take into account our customers’ views on environmental issues.
- Inform and raise awareness among our event organizers of the need for eco-responsible activities.
- Enhance the natural and cultural heritage of our establishment, enabling us to offer our guests an authentic local experience.

Here is a list of the actions we take every day to achieve
our environmental objectives:
Energy/water resource management :
- Optional in-room towel and linen exchange program;
- Replacement of incandescent lighting with LED lighting;
- Use energy-efficient lighting, energy-efficient light bulbs;
- Installation of energy-efficient faucets with aerator;
- Installation of energy-efficient showerheads;
- Installation of dual-flush, low-flow toilets;
- Use of natural springs to fill the pool;
Waste reduction / recovery
- Use of recycling bins in bedrooms, offices, workspaces and public areas;
- Recovery and recycling: paper, cardboard, containers, plastic, glass, metal, newspapers, magazines, other;
- Recycling archive boxes;
- Recovery of computer equipment;
- Double-sided printing and reuse of paper as draft;
- Consultation of documents by e-mail and computer instead of printing;
- Use of triple-filtered water with refillable glass bottles instead of disposable individual plastic bottles;
- Promotes the use of electronic forms;
- Prefer the use of e-mail;
- Menus and contracts sent by e-mail;
- Use of condiments (salt, pepper, sugar) and products such as milk and juice in bulk rather than in individual containers;
- Use of organic and local skincare products (shampoo, soap, cream) in large, refillable formats to eliminate small plastic formats
Hazardous materials management
- Recovery and environmentally-friendly disposal of ink cartridges, disposable batteries, used oils, fluorescent tubes, solvents, paints, chemicals and aerosols,
- Use of certified ecological cleaning products;
- Using Environmelt ice melter
Green purchasing
- Use of biodegradable disposable dishes when necessary;
- Use of washable, reusable containers;
- Purchasing from local suppliers;
- Buy in bulk when possible;
- Support certified organic farmers and favor local suppliers;
Community cooperation
Community cooperation
- Food donations to community organizations and/or employees;
- Donation of linen and bedding to community organizations;
- Donation and sale of replacement furniture;
Through our actions, we aim to raise awareness among our employees and customers of the importance of environmental protection and sustainable economic and social development.
We are therefore committed to remaining proactive in the development and use of new technologies that respect the environment and the community, and to improving the efficiency of our facilities in order to preserve the environment at the very heart of our operations.
